Cousins

Let me start with apologizing for the lengthy blog. If you don't have the time or the interest, at least watch the last video clip. My cousin Cecilia is minutes away from being discovered for the next tweenies girl rocker band.

So we went home for my cousin Abby's wedding at the end of September. My entire family on my dad's side was present, and it was the first time that I had seen most of them since my own wedding. It was great fun, and the wedding was beautiful. We also had the opportunity to spend time with Jason's parents and our friends in Cincinnati.

Robert learned one of the best words while home... cousins. It started with being reintroduced to his 6yo cousin Kyle. Verbatim, it went like this.
me: "Robert, this is Kyle"
Robert to Kyle: "Wanna wrestle?"
Kyle to Robert: "Yeah, I wanna wrestle!"
And the wrestling continued the rest of the weekend. Boys.

Robert's new love of cousins continued with meeting his other cousins Jo, Kat, Olivia, Cecilia, and Aunt Maddy.

They generously entertained Robert the whole weekend, making him feel a part of the gang despite being so much younger. Each morning the first words out of his mouth were "Where my cousins?" He, of course, did not understand that, being a little older, they would not appreciate being awoken at 5:45 AM to play with the soccer ball in the lobby. It's a month later and he is still asking when his cousins are coming over.

As I said before the wedding was beautiful and the reception was so much fun. Jason, Robert, and I went with the plans to return home on the 9:45 shuttle, but we were having so much fun the we left on the last shuttle of the night. Here are a few pictures from our weekend. (Abby, shame on me...some how I managed not to capture how beautiful you were in your gown.)

I also have three video clips from the wedding that are priceless. The first two are Robert dancing on the dance floor. I think he's adorable (but I'm his mom).

The third clip is my cousin and Godchild, Cecelia, embracing her inner rocker.
For those of you who know my Uncle Jeff and Aunt Julie, this is their middle child. One of the best parts about this clip is the crazies dancing around her (her mom is the blond having a showdown with her neice and her dad is the one repeatedly singing "I love rock 'n roll" in my ear). They are so busy with their own dancing that I think I'm the only one noticing her performance.
